Petite View 3

$175.00
SOLD

Artist: Rachel Moodie

Medium: Mixed media - ink, acrylic, gesso, oil and chalk pastels, graphic marker and graphite on vintage paper.

Size: 11.3 x 11.3 cm .

Framed: Yes

This series of artworks entitled Petite Views are depictions of the bush landscape behind our house on Gundungurra land. There is an added significance of it being a spot I’d go to with a friend who lost her battle with cancer. It’s a peaceful place, where the sky is ever changing and there is always something new and beautiful to see. The layering of paint and mixed media on small squares of aged book jackets aims to add nostalgia and infuse these tiny pieces with memories.
